Facts, pictures and a contact for anyone writing about Rewear UK.

What Rewear is

Rewear UK is a UK marketplace where people buy and sell pre-owned clothing, shoes, bags and accessories for women, men and children, plus new, unused make-up, skincare, grooming products and fragrance. It is an iPhone app and a website, and an Android app is coming soon. Listing is free and there is no selling fee: sellers are paid the price they set. Buyers pay a buyer protection fee of 30p + 3%, shown in full before they pay. Sellers can add a garment’s measurements in centimetres, and buyers can save their own to see how a measured piece compares. Payments go through Stripe, and the money is held until the buyer confirms the item arrived as described, then paid to the seller. Buyers choose tracked delivery with InPost, Evri, Royal Mail and DPD at checkout, and the seller gets a prepaid label.

Story

Rewear UK was built by Reece McAllion. A size label means something different on every brand, so a listing has a place for the garment’s real measurements in centimetres, and a buyer who saves their own once can see how a measured piece compares before buying. Sellers keep the whole price they set; the marketplace is paid for by the buyer protection fee, which is itemised at checkout.

“I kept hearing from sellers who'd been banned or had listings taken down with no real explanation, and from people who felt the rules kept getting tighter on everyday sellers. I wanted somewhere that treats sellers fairly: free to list, no selling fee, and if we ever have to take something down, we tell you why and you can reply to a real person.”
